Beryllium Copper Rods are one of the highest strength based copper alloys available. The commercial grades of beryllium copper rods contain 0.4 to 2.0 percent beryllium. Tempered beryllium copper is beryllium copper C17200 rods & beryllium copper C17300 rods that have been age hardened and cold drawn. Copper beryllium c17200 rods & Copper beryllium c17300 rods include high strength with moderate conductivity, beryllium copper C17500 rod and beryllium copper C17510 offers high conductivity with moderate strength. Beryllium Copper C17510 rods & Beryllium Copper C17500 rods are age-hardened and provide good electrical conductivity, physical properties and endurance. They are used in springs and wires where electrical conduction or retention of properties at elevated temperatures is important. The principal characteristics of these alloys are their excellent response to precipitation hardening treatments, excellent thermal conductivity and resistance to stress relaxation.

Beryllium Copper C17200/ C17300 Plates are an age-hardened alloy which help it attain the highest strength of any copper based alloy. Beryllium copper is a non-ferrous alloy. Beryllium copper c17200 plates are used in ultra-low temperature cryogenic equipment, such as dilution refrigerators, because of its mechanical strength and relatively high thermal conductivity in this temperature range. C17510 and C17500 beryllium copper alloys are age-hardenable and provide good electrical conductivity, physical properties, and endurance. High strength beryllium copper plates contain as much as 2.7% beryllium (cast), or 1.6-2% beryllium with about 0.3% cobalt (wrought).
