ASTM A513 standard for carbon and alloy Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) tubing for mechanical applications. It can be classified Type1 (Hot Rolled Electric Resistance Welded), Type 2 (cold rolled) and Type 5(Drawn Over Mandrel) according to its treatment processing. The Drawn Over Mandrel (DOM) tubing has excellent concentricity, smooth outer and inner wall thickness than its ERW products, often used in the automotive, appliance and construction industries.
Wiho metals supply and stock a large inventory of 1020 DOM mechanical tubing according to ASTM A513 specifications. We process the welded steel pipe by a three-high cold rolling mill, or a hydraulic drive cold drawing machine, and then stable performance, high roundness and high precision DOM steel pipe can be obtained, which is more economical than the precise seamless steel pipe. Wiho metals can process ERW steel tubes with an outer diameter of 12-175mm, a wall thickness of 0.7-7.2mm and dimensional accuracy H7~H10.
